The crosshair in the middle of the screen can be set up your way: hide the game's own and switch on ours, drawn exactly at the screen's centre. It's all in the main window: F2, “Settings”, the “Crosshair” tab. By default everything is as in the game: the game's crosshair on, ours off.
#Switching it on
- “Our crosshair” switches ours on. It's drawn over the game exactly at the screen's centre.
- “Hide the game's crosshair” hides the game's crosshair in the middle of the screen. You can hide it without ours too: then the middle stays empty.
- The game shows the reticles of a car's mounted guns as usual: ours doesn't replace them.
- The tab has a preview: the crosshair over a night and a day background, so you see at once how well it reads.
#The look
- Shape: a cross, a T, a diagonal cross, a dot, a circle, a cross in a circle, a chevron or a square.
- Colour: from the palette or a HEX code of your own (six digits and letters A-F, like #00E5FF), and its opacity.
- Sizes in pixels: the size, the lines' length and thickness, the gap from the centre, the centre dot and its size.
- Outline and shadow: so the crosshair isn't lost on a bright or busy background. The outline has its colour, width and opacity, the shadow its offset and opacity.
#When it shows
- Always, from the hip or while aiming: “while aiming” shows it only while the right mouse button is held, “from the hip” the other way round.
- Hide in a scope: aiming through a scope you see only its own reticle.
- Hide with empty hands and hide with fists or a melee weapon.
- Hide in a vehicle: at the wheel and in a passenger's seat.
#Presets
- Ready-made presets: Classic, Ring, T-shape, Sniper, Minimal and Neon. A preset changes only the look: the shape, colour, sizes and outline, while your “When it shows” settings stay yours.
- Your own presets. Set the crosshair up, type a name and press “Save”: the preset shows in “Your presets”. You can keep up to 12 of your own, rename them and delete them (a second click confirms the delete).
- “Back to the defaults” puts everything back: the game's crosshair on, ours off.
- The settings and presets are kept on your computer and stay after a restart.
