Rules for government factions

On this page

These rules apply to members of the NCPD, Trauma Team, City Hall and N54 News, on top of the general rules. How duty, ranks and permissions work is described in the Factions section.

#6. Duty

6.1

On duty you represent your organization: your uniform, speech and behavior must match it. The uniform and duty weapons are issued only on duty and handed back when the duty ends.

6.2

Duty weapons, faction vehicles, the stash and the radio are for duty only. Giving friends rides in a faction car, joyriding in it and taking things from the stash for yourself are forbidden.

Punishment: warning; if repeated, dismissal
6.3

Staying on duty just for the salary while doing nothing is forbidden. If you step away from the computer, go off duty.

Punishment: warning; if repeated, dismissal
6.4

Members of government factions don't pass information from their duty to gangs and don't take part in gang business. Corruption can be role-played only with the administration's approval.

Punishment: dismissal and a 60-minute jail term
6.5

Leaders promote on merit and according to their faction's charter. Selling ranks, positions or a place in the faction is forbidden.

Punishment: the leader is removed from their post

#NCPD

6.6

Handcuffs go on only with a role-play reason: suspicion of a crime, a threat, disturbing the peace, resistance. Detaining people “just in case” or for fun is forbidden.

Punishment: 60-minute jail term; if repeated, dismissal
6.7

When detaining someone, the officer introduces themselves and states the reason. A detainee isn't kept in cuffs with nothing happening for longer than the case needs.

6.8

A fine is written for a specific offense, in proportion to it and for no more than 50,000 €$. The reason on the fine is written clearly: what for and where.

Punishment: warning; if repeated, dismissal
6.9

A jail term of up to 60 minutes is set according to how serious the offense is. The detainee is told the term and the reason. Jailing someone to get a player out of a situation without a role-play basis is forbidden.

Punishment: dismissal and a 60-minute jail term
6.10

Wanted stars are given for a clear reason and in proportion, and removed once the matter is closed.

Punishment: warning
6.11

Trunks are searched on reasonable suspicion. Anything seized goes into the faction stash; the officer doesn't keep it.

Punishment: dismissal and confiscation of what was kept
6.12

Weapons are used only when a life is threatened or against armed resistance. Shooting first at an unarmed person is forbidden.

Punishment: 60-minute jail term
6.13

911 calls are answered in order of importance. Closing a call without responding to it is not allowed.

#Trauma Team

6.14

Medics help everyone who needs it, whatever their faction or gang, if the scene is safe. You may refuse only if your own life is in danger.

Punishment: warning; if repeated, dismissal
6.15

The price of revival and treatment is set by the city and charged automatically. Demanding extra payment, charging for urgency and taking the injured's belongings are forbidden.

Punishment: dismissal
6.16

A medic doesn't take part in shootouts, except in self-defense, and doesn't drive into a combat zone without police cover.

#City Hall

6.17

City Hall's treasury is filled by fines and spent only on the needs of the city and the faction. Moving treasury money to personal use is forbidden.

Punishment: removal from the post and return of the funds

#N54 News

6.18

Editors review ads fairly and in turn, and reject them with a clear reason: if an ad breaks the server rules (OOC, advertising other projects, RMT) or if the editors don't want to run it, for example because of insults. Rejecting an ad is the editors' own decision, not a server punishment. Holding back competitors' ads and letting your own through without review are forbidden.

Punishment: warning; if repeated, dismissal
6.19

Breaking news covers only events that happened in the game, with no OOC, pranks or advertising.

Punishment: warning; if repeated, dismissal
6.20

Journalists at the scene don't get in the way of the police and medics and don't pass information to either side of a conflict.
