For what the abbreviations mean, see the RP terms page. A jail term from the administration only counts down while you're in the city: if you leave the game, it waits for you.
#5. Role-play and conflicts
Unrealistic behavior (NonRP) is forbidden: anything a resident of Night City in 2077 wouldn't do. This includes driving that no real car could manage: down stairs, through parks, over rooftops and along sidewalks for fun.
Using outside information in the game (MG) is forbidden: anything from Discord, streams, private messages or the general chat. Calling someone by a name they never told you is MG too.
Using someone else's stream or video to gain an edge in the game (stream sniping) is forbidden: learning from it where a person is and what they're planning, looking for them or following them.
Giving your character impossible abilities and forcing the outcome of your actions on others (PG) is forbidden. Role-playing implants and abilities gives no advantage beyond what the server allows.
Attacking and killing without a role-play reason (DM) is forbidden. The reason must come from the game and be clear to the victim: a threat, a conflict, a gang job, an order on duty.
Attacking several players in a row without a reason (mass DM) is punished more harshly than usual.
Killing and injuring with a vehicle without a role-play reason is forbidden: deliberately running people over and ramming other people's cars (DB).
The driver doesn't shoot while driving: only passengers shoot from a car. Shooting from a car without a role-play reason is punished as DM, under rule 5.5.
Attacking players where they appear is forbidden: by the Bank of Night City in Downtown, outside clinics after discharge, at the doors of homes and hotels as they come out (SK).
Attacking your own side is forbidden: members of your faction or gang, without the leader's consent and a role-play reason (TK).
After discharge from a clinic, your character doesn't remember what got them knocked out and doesn't return to the scene of the conflict for 15 minutes (NLR). Taking revenge on whoever took you down is forbidden (RK). If a medic revived you on the spot, you remember everything.
Your character values their life (FearRP). At gunpoint, outnumbered or in handcuffs, they comply instead of launching a suicidal attack.
Escaping a role-play situation is forbidden: leaving the game, switching characters, hiding behind the administration or using bugs to hide in a home, to avoid an arrest, a fine or a loss. If you have to leave urgently, warn the others involved in the chat and come back to the situation later.
In green zones, nobody provokes fights, threatens anyone with a weapon or hides from a chase to escape responsibility. The server doesn't count damage there, but the rule still covers everything else.
Attacking medics while they're giving aid, and interfering with the emergency services for fun, are forbidden. A medic on a call is not part of anyone else's conflict.
Don't leave your character unattended where they get in others' way: in the road, in doorways, at bank and shop counters, in someone else's home, in the middle of a role-play situation.
Before attacking, make it clear the threat is real: a demand, a warning, an open conflict. A surprise ambush is allowed only if the attackers have a role-play reason they can explain to the administration.
#Situations to arrange with the administration
Role-playing cyberpsychosis, riots and other events that affect many players happens only with the administration's approval. Apply through a report.
#If someone breaks the rules against you
- Don't answer a violation with a violation: play the situation out and file a complaint.
- Record a video: without evidence it's hard for the administration to sort things out. You can attach the video link right to the report.
- File the complaint with F3, category “Complaint”, with the player's ID (#12), the time and a short description.
