#Using the chat
- Enter opens the chat line, Enter sends, Esc cancels.
- While you play, the last 7 lines are shown: each one stays for 10 seconds, then fades. While you type, you see 14 lines.
- Tab in the chat line switches between the general chat and your faction chat, if you're in a faction.
- You can hide the chat: F2, “Chat over the game”.
#Role-play commands

/w player text | A private message to one player, wherever they are. It's OOC: don't use it to pass on anything your character should learn in-game. Also /pm, /msg, /whisper |

For “player” in a command, type their number (#12 or just 12), or their name if you've been introduced.

#Limits
- No more than 1 message per second, with a little leeway. If you type faster, the server asks you to slow down, and persistent flooding gets you disconnected.
- Messages have a length limit.
- Announcements from the administration arrive in the chat marked “Announcement” and pop up on screen.
