#The job center
The job center is in a hotel lobby in Downtown, not far from where you spawn. Walk up to the desk and press E to open the list of jobs.
- Jobs are sorted by the level they need. If your level is too low, the job shows a lock.
- Each job shows its pay per order, a description, how a shift goes, and your work record in that job.
- Press “Take the job” to get hired, and “Quit the job” to leave it.
Your character has one job at a time. If you take a different one, your current shift ends, but your level in the old job is kept: come back to it and it's still the same.
#Shifts
- Go to your job's depot: it's marked on the map with the job's icon. The “E” prompt at the depot only shows to people who work that job.
- Press E and your shift starts. On jobs with a vehicle, your work vehicle appears in a free spot by the depot.
- Complete orders: the next order's point appears on the map and on screen, and the job card in the bottom left tells you what to do.
- After a run, go back to the depot for your run bonus and a new run.
A shift ends when you type /job end, quit the job, leave the game, or hit the hourly order limit. A city update that changes the job's places ends it too: you'll see “The job's places changed: the shift is over”. You can't start a shift while knocked out or during a test drive.
#Pay and job level
- Pay comes in cash right after each order, and so does the run bonus.
- Every paid order gives XP to your character and the same amount of XP to the job itself.
- Pay grows with your job level: +6% for each level, up to level 10. At the top level, a job pays 54% more than at level 1.
| Job level | Job XP | Pay bonus |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 0 | +0% |
| 2 | 60 | +6% |
| 3 | 180 | +12% |
| 4 | 360 | +18% |
| 5 | 600 | +24% |
| 6 | 900 | +30% |
| 7 | 1,260 | +36% |
| 8 | 1,680 | +42% |
| 9 | 2,160 | +48% |
| 10 | 2,700 | +54% |
#Hourly order limit
The server pays for only so many orders within the past hour. The limit is shared by all jobs: switching jobs doesn't reset the counter.
| Job | Orders per hour |
|---|---|
| Courier | 30 |
| Taxi driver | 24 |
| Delivery driver | 36 |
| Garbage collector | 64 |
| Mechanic | 20 |
| Trucker | 10 |
| Cash collector | 40 |
Once you hit the limit, you get no new orders, but you can still go back to the depot for your run bonus. On jobs with a vehicle, the job card warns you when 5 or fewer orders are left.
#Work vehicles
- The vehicle belongs to the job, not to you: only the worker who took it can drive it. In a taxi, passengers sit in the back.
- It goes back to the depot when your shift ends, when you leave the game, or when nobody has been in it for 10 minutes.
- If you're on shift without a vehicle, press E at the depot and a new one appears.
- If all the spots by the depot are taken, wait a minute.
- You can't park a work vehicle in a garage, it has no trunk, and mechanics don't repair it for money.
#Server checks
The server makes sure orders are done fairly:
- No faster than you could get there. An order doesn't count sooner than 15 seconds in, or sooner than you could have covered the distance on foot or by car. If you got there too fast, wait on the spot: the progress bar takes care of it.
- On the spot and on foot. On jobs with a vehicle, you complete orders on foot with E, and your work vehicle has to be parked near the point.
- Too fast: an order done faster than is possible won't count.
#Where to see your work record
On the “Character” tab of the main window and in the “Work” app on your phone: your level in each job, the number of shifts, orders and earnings. The /job command in chat tells you where you work and how your shift is going.
