#Characters on your account
One account can have up to 3 characters. Each one has its own money, items, job, faction, housing and cars. You can't play the same character from two computers at once. You also can't switch characters in a fight: for 30 seconds after a hit that counts, by you or on you (see Combat and damage).
#What your name can be
The first name and the last name are checked separately, and the same rules apply to each:
- letters only: Latin or Cyrillic, without mixing alphabets within one part;
- 2 to 16 letters;
- a hyphen or an apostrophe can go inside: not first, not last and not two in a row;
- the server sets the capital letters itself.
Full names are unique on the server. If yours is already taken, the server asks you to pick another one.
#Changing your name
You change your name in the main window: F2 or Delete, the “Character” tab, the “Change name” button.
- Your first change is available right away; after that, no more than once every 30 days.
- Changing your name is free.
- People who already know you will see the new name. Strangers still see only your number.
#Character number
Every character has a permanent number, for example #12. It shows on the server card in the top left corner of the screen as “ID #12”.
- Your character number is also your bank account number. Money is sent by a bank card number or a phone number: see Money and the bank.
- Strangers see you as “Stranger #12” until you introduce yourself.
- You give the number in complaints to the administration and in chat commands.
#ID card
In the G menu you can show your ID to a player near you: “Show your ID”. They see a card with your name, number, sex, level and job, which stays on their screen for 12 seconds. You can show your ID once every 15 seconds at most. Showing your ID isn't an introduction: the name on the card isn't remembered, and above your head you stay a stranger.
#Level and XP
Your character gets XP from three sources:
- Time in the city: 10 XP every 10 minutes of play, unless you're away from the keyboard.
- Work: every paid order gives XP both to your character and to the job itself.
- Starter quests: 160 XP for the whole chain.
Levels unlock new jobs. Each new level takes 100 XP more than the one before it:
| Level | Total XP | Opens jobs |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 0 | Courier |
| 2 | 100 | Taxi driver, Delivery driver |
| 3 | 300 | Garbage collector |
| 4 | 600 | Mechanic |
| 5 | 1,000 | No |
| 6 | 1,500 | Trucker |
| 7 | 2,100 | No |
| 8 | 2,800 | Cash collector |
| 9 | 3,600 | No |
| 10 | 4,500 | No |
Your current level and XP bar show on the “Character” tab, in the phone's “Work” app and with the /level command in chat.
#If you're away
The server counts you as playing if you did something in the last 10 minutes: walked or drove somewhere new (as a passenger too, while the driver is playing), used places, items and menus, wrote in the chat or talked. A conversation with someone nearby counts too. The first 10 minutes after you pick a character always count.
If none of that happened, “YOU'RE AWAY · Your time doesn't count” appears above the Biomonitor panel. While it's on:
- you get no XP for time in the city;
- the faction pay countdown stops;
- your played time doesn't grow, and that's what a new character's wait before handing on money and things, a new bank account and the savings interest go by.
Nobody is kicked for it. As soon as you do something again, the chip goes away.
#Character card
The “Character” tab in the main window shows:
- your name and number, your level and the XP to the next one;
- your cash and the money in your account;
- your job and the time you've spent in the city;
- how many times your character has been knocked out;
- the work record: level, shifts, orders and earnings for each job;
- the police record: handcuffs, jail time and unpaid fines, with a “Pay” button.
#Appearance
You create your look in the game's own editor the first time you join. After that, you can change your face, hair, beard, makeup, tattoos and piercings at a barber for 500 €$.
