The Ho-Oh casino and dice

The Ho-Oh casino in Kabuki belongs to the Tyger Claws. Its ground floor is open to visitors: the cashier, three roulette tables and a bar. The casino has its own icon on the map and its own “Casinos” category in the phone's GPS. A green zone of 10 m surrounds the cashier and each table: weapons can't be drawn there.

#The wheel of fortune

Walk up to the cashier and press E: “Casino: the cashier”. The casino's window has three tabs: “Wheel of fortune”, “Roulette” and “Rules and limits”.

  • The wheel is free: one spin every 6 hours for an account, shared by all your characters. The 6 hours count from the account's last spin, whichever character made it. The window says so: “A free spin every 6 hours”, “One for the account: your characters share it”.
  • The “Spin for free” button starts the wheel at once, with no confirmation. While no spin is due, the button counts down: “Next spin in 5 h 59 min”.
  • Every spin wins one of the prizes in the tables below. It comes when the wheel stops: “You won: ...”.
  • The wheel isn't part of the limits: no money is staked on it, so neither the loss limit nor the pause after a big loss closes it. But a new character gets the wheel only after 3 hours in the city, and if you closed the games to yourself, the wheel is closed too.

#Prizes and chances

The chances are the same for everyone and never change: the casino's window shows the same chances.

PrizeChance
1,000 €$44.4%
2,500 €$25%
5,000 €$15%
7,500 €$5%

10 NEO3% (1 in 33)
25 NEO1% (1 in 100)
Premium for 1 day1.5% (1 in 67)

The prizes with a chance under 1% share one gold sector on the wheel: “The gold sector: one of the rare prizes”. It comes up with a chance of 2.1% (1 in 48), and then the rare prizes light up in the table one after another until they stop on the one you won.

Gold sector prizeChance
50 NEO0.3% (1 in 333)
100 NEO0.1% (1 in 1,000)

  • Money goes into your bank account, NEO and premium onto your account.
  • A car you win goes straight into your garage with its own plate. If you have no free garage place, it waits in the casino's window (“Your prize is waiting”): “Into the garage” once a place is free, or “Money instead”: 60% of its dealership price, as much as a scrapyard pays.

#Roulette

A croupier stands at each of the three tables. Walk up to a table and press E: “Play roulette”.

  • European roulette, with one zero: the numbers 0 to 36.
  • A bet is 100 to 1,000,000 €$: from your account first, the rest in cash. Winnings go into your account.
  • You bet on a number (the zero too), on red or black, even or odd, 1-18 or 19-36, a dozen (1-12, 13-24, 25-36) or a column.
  • A number pays 35 to 1, a dozen or a column 2 to 1, the other bets 1 to 1. If the zero comes up, only a bet on zero wins.
  • On any bet the house has a 2.7% edge.
  • You confirm a bet in the “Place the bet?” window, and once placed it can't be taken back. The ball runs for 7 seconds, and the last numbers show in the roulette's window.

#Dice

Every 24/7 store and kiosk sells a pair of dice for 80 €$, in the “Games” group. Dice never get used up: you can play as often as you like. It's player against player, and the winner takes both stakes: the casino takes nothing from dice.

  1. Walk up to a player, within 4 m. In your inventory pick “Play dice” on the dice, or open the G menu on the player and pick “Dice game”.
  2. Name a stake from 100 to 25,000,000 €$ and confirm the offer.
  3. The other player sees a card at the top, “... offers you a game of dice”, with the stake, and has 45 seconds to answer. G opens it: “Accept and play for ...” or “Turn down”.
  4. Once the game is accepted, both stakes are taken (from the account first, the rest in cash) and the dice are thrown at once. Each throws two dice: the higher sum takes both stakes, and a tie gives each their own back (“A tie: the stakes are back”). Winnings go into the bank account.
  • An accepted game can't be undone. You can take your offer back until it's accepted (“Take it back” in the G menu), and it's off by itself if you walk more than 8 m apart.
  • After a no, the same player can offer again only 10 seconds later.
  • You can't play against another character of your own account.
  • The stake has to fit both players' limits. If your opponent can't play now, you only see “... can't play now”, never why.
  • Dice are allowed in a green zone: it stops fights, not games.

#Limits

The limits count the roulette, the dice and the buy-ins of street races together, and the free wheel of fortune isn't part of them. The “Rules and limits” tab shows them: what you lost and won in 24 hours, your limit and what's left today.

  • The loss limit for 24 hours: half your money (cash and account, with what you already lost in these 24 hours added back), never under 20,000 €$ or over 50,000,000 €$. It counts the net loss: what you lost minus what you won. A stake over what's left today isn't taken: “Over today's limit: at most ... may be staked now”.
  • A pause after a big loss: if half the daily limit is lost within an hour, every game closes for 30 minutes.
  • New characters can play after 3 hours in the city: “New in the city: the games open in ... of play”.
  • Only money is staked: never a home, a business or a car.

#Close the games to yourself

The “Rules and limits” tab has a “Close my access to the casino for 7 days” button. It closes the wheel of fortune, the roulette, the dice and races with a buy-in to every character of your account, and it can't be undone early. If you need longer, write a report (F3): the administration will close the games to you for a longer time.
