#Wardrobe
Every home has a wardrobe: walk up to it and press E. Your things stay safe in it while you're not in the city.
| Home | Wardrobe capacity |
|---|---|
| Studio, apartment, loft, house, trailer | 100 kg |
| Penthouse | 500 kg |
| Hotel room | 50 kg |
You can't put your phone or documents, ammo, or the starter clothes of a new character (in their first 120 minutes of play) in the wardrobe. Guests and people who are only viewing the home can't use it.
For their first 120 minutes of play, a new character can put things only in their own wardrobe, and meanwhile nobody else can take anything out of it, even with a key. Anyone who tries sees “These are a new character's things: nobody else can take them yet, N min more of its play”.
#Home keys
- The owner can hand out up to 5 keys to a home. You give a key to a player next to you, within 4 m.
- A key lets you go in, use the wardrobe, lock and open the door, ask guests to leave and choose this home as your spawn point.
- A key can be taken back at any time. If its holder is inside at that moment, they end up outside. You can give that player a key again after 10 seconds.
- Hotel rooms have no keys.
#Locks and guests
A new home is locked. If you open the door, anyone can come in as a guest: guests can't use the wardrobe, and the owner gets a notification every time someone comes in. You can lock the door and ask guests to leave at the door or from the phone's “Homes” app.
#Where you appear
Where your character appears when you join is set in the settings: F2, the “Where you appear” section.
| Option | Where you appear |
|---|---|
| “Where I left” | Where you left the game. This is the default |
| “The city's spawn” | On the street by the Bank of Night City in Downtown |
| “My home” | In your own home, a home you have a key to, or a hotel room you rent |
- You can also make a home your spawn point at its door or the hotel's front desk (“Appear here”) and in the “Homes” app.
- If you leave the game at home with “Where I left” selected, you appear at home.
- If you leave the game while unconscious, you come back on your feet at the clinic nearest to where you lay.
- If you're in handcuffs, your choice doesn't apply: you appear right where you left the game. Anyone serving jail time comes back to their cell.
