NEO is the currency of Neonesis. Unlike eddies, NEO belong to your account: all your characters share one balance. In the store you spend NEO on premium or exchange them for eddies.
#The store
The store opens with F4 or the “Store” tile in the phone and closes with the same key. Your NEO balance is at the top, and below it the tabs:
| Tab | What's there |
|---|---|
| “Premium” | The premium plans and what premium gives |
| “Exchange” | NEO into eurodollars on your character's account |
| “Coming soon” | What will appear in the store later |
| “History” | Every NEO operation: credits, exchanges, premium purchases |
The /neo command in chat tells you how many NEO you have and until when your premium runs.
#Where to get NEO
For now NEO come from the administration: at events, in contests and for helping the project. Topping up on the website will come later. Every credit arrives with a notice and stays on the “History” tab.
#Exchange into €$
- The rate is fixed: 1 NEO = 100 €$.
- The eddies go to the bank account of the character you're playing right now.
- The exchange can't be undone: €$ never turn back into NEO.
- One exchange takes up to 100,000 NEO.
#Premium
| Plan | Price |
|---|---|
| Premium for 7 days | 300 NEO |
| Premium for 30 days | 1,000 NEO, cheaper per day |
- It works for the whole account: all your characters get the perks.
- The time runs while you're offline too. Bought again, its days add up to the ones left.
- You get a reminder 3 days and a day before it ends.
#The welcome gift
Every account gets 14 days of premium for free, once. A new account gets them on its first entry into the city, and one that played before on its first entry after the 0.1.7 update. If a premium is already running, the days add up to it. A “Welcome gift” notice comes with the date your premium runs to, and the same line shows in the “History” tab.
#What premium gives
| What | With premium |
|---|---|
| XP for work and time in the city | Twice as much |
| Job pay | +25% for every task. For a service to another player (a repair, fuel, a taxi ride) never more than the customer paid |
| Faction pay | +25% on top of your rank's pay |
| Bank transfer fee | Half as much |
| Marketplace listing fee and sale commission | Half as much |
| The wait in the hospital after you go down | 30 seconds instead of 60 |
| Name change | Once every 15 days instead of 30 |
| Hunger and thirst | Come 25% slower |
| “Premium” badge | In the players' list |
The faction bonus is paid by the city, not by the faction's treasury: a gang loses nothing when its members have premium.
